I am a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/Supervisor, specializing in teen, adult, and couples counseling. My practice, Georgetown Counseling and Wellness, is in Georgetown, TX.

As a counselor I create a warm, supportive, and safe environment where my clients can move from feeling stuck, isolated or conflicted in some area of life to feeling more connected, joyful and confident. I specialize in relational and mindfulness/somatic therapies, working with a broad range of clients.

I work with children ages 12 and up, teens, adults and couples. Among my areas of expertise are:

  • Counseling for anxiety

  • Counseling for depression

  • Marriage and couples counseling

  • Navigating through life transitions, such as challenging moments in relationships, struggles in adjusting to new parenthood, a new empty nest, a divorce, death of a loved one, as well as many other smaller and bigger challenges we all face in adulthood

  • Stepfamily/Blended Family counseling

  • Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy for relief from physical, emotional and psychological symptoms of anxiety, stress, physical and emotional pain.

  • Processing grief and loss

  • Helping highly sensitive people learn to manage feelings of overwhelm and sensory overload.

I give my clients a range of tools to help create positive change in their lives and relationships, and bring evidence-based treatments and techniques into my work with clients, including: techniques from Marriage and Couples Counseling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I also incorporate holistic approaches into my work with clients: harp therapy, yoga breathing techniques, tapping for emotional release and meditation techniques.

In my work with clients of all ages, I believe in defining goals and then working toward these goals through deepening understanding of feelings in oneself and others, exploring new ways of thinking about yourself,

understanding others' realities and learning better coping strategies.

My approach is uniquely tailored to each client, couple or family; I provide support, acceptance, and encouragement to my clients, but also challenge narratives about the self and others that can hold clients back from greater well-being. My goal is to help my clients feel more confident, successful and connected to those most important to them.

My clients often seek counseling because they are disappointed by a partner, child or job, and are unsure how to make changes to improve quality of life and relationships. Sometimes clients seek counseling to heal from relationships and events that have caused emotional pain, and sometimes for personal insight and growth.

When your vision of how you want your life to be doesn't match with your reality, we can work together to help you find new insight, hope and the tools to make positive changes in your life.

"Joy, rather than happiness, is the goal of life, for joy is the emotion which accompanies our  fulfilling our natures as human beings. It is based on the experience of one's identity as a being of worth and dignity."
